The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur incubation centre, Startup Incubation and Innovation Centre (SIIC), has set a milestone. It has become one of the first IIT-led incubators to launch 500 startups. Among the 500 startups, 150 are founded by women. This makes the total valuation of around INR 12,000 crore. Moreover, SIIC has also collaborated with NMexus, a US-based accelerator, to help diversify globally.
SIIC was built in 2000 in partnership with SIDBI. Today, it acts as a centre for entrepreneurship and tech-driven innovation. Until today, SIIC has assisted in creating 10,800 skilled and unskilled jobs across India. This initiative works in alignment and promotes programmes like Make in India, Vocal for Local, and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The Union Public Service Commission has announced the Indian Economic Services (IES) and Indian Statistical Services (ISS) 2025 final results. You can check the final results on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. To check your result, you would need your enrollment number and password. This year in the IES examination, Mohit Aggarwal Nadbiawalla has secured rank 1. And, Kashish Kasana, has topped the merit list in the ISS 2025 examination.
Both, Indian Economic Services examination and the Indian Statistical Services examination were conducted in June 2025. The written test was followed by a personal interview and personality test in September. This year, 12 vacant seats were announced to fill the IES post, and 35 seats for the ISS post.
The Union Public Service Commission has announced the results for the written examination for the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination 2025 on October 1, 2025. You can check the results on the official UPSC website at upsc.gov.in. This written examination caters to the vacancies in the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. There were a total of 402 vacancies.
The written examination for UPSC NDA and NA II was conducted on September 14, 2025. If you have cleared the written examination part, you are eligible to sit for the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. During the SSB, you shall be evaluated on psychological fitness, decision-making capability, leadership, and overall personality.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has opened registration for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) and Common Entrance Test for Design (CEED). The registration started on October 1, 2025. And, the last date for registration is October 31, 2025. If you miss the deadline, then you can apply with a late fee till November 7, 2025.
You can fill out the UCEED and CEED registration form on the official IIT Bombay website. Both UCEED and CEED 2026 examinations are scheduled for January 18 2026. The admit card shall be available from January 2, 2026. According to the schedule, results shall be declared on March 6, 2026, followed by score cards on March 10.
In a recent development, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has announced the opening of the new Kendriya Vidyalaya across 17 states and UTs. Out of the 57 schools, 20 schools would be opened in districts that do not have a KV, 14 will be opened in districts selected by the NITI Aayog, 4 in left-wing extremism-affected districts, and 5 in north eastern/hilly regions.
The total cost for establishing these 57 KVs is going to be INR 5862.55 crore. These KVs cater to the educational needs of children of Central Government employees. All the 57 newly approved Kendriya Vidyalayas shall include Balvatikas. These balvatikas are pre-primary foundational stages covering three years.
The University of Delhi, Central Placement Cell, is conducting a job fair for university students. The fair is scheduled for October 8, 2025. At the fair, you would have the opportunity to get jobs and internships. Whether you are a UG, PG, or PhD candidate, you can participate in the job fair. Moreover, DU alumni are also eligible to participate.
To be eligible for the fair, you must fill out the Google form before October 5, 2025. There is no registration fee, but make sure that there are no errors in the form. You must also ensure that you upload an updated CV/resume and carry a hard copy on the day of the fair. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras has launched a training and employability assessment programme for their engineering and diploma students. The full form of NIPTA is National Internship, Placement Training, and Assessment. It is for third and final year students, recent graduates, diploma holders, and final-year diploma students.
This step shall help bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry expectations. It is a 10 to 12 week programme including training modules, video lectures, and sample questions. There is a nominal fee to take the final assessment and otherwise the programme is available for free for all.
The National Institute of Technology Hamirpur and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, allowing students to access state-of-the-art facilities, technical experience, and research opportunities. As per the MOU, five meritorious students will get a chance to complete their final year of the degree at IIT Bombay.
This initiative is a step towards growth and success for both the institutions as well as the selected students. The students will get a chance to experience world-class facilities and the credibility of being a part of the IIT Bombay. Moreover, it shall foster new opportunities in research and innovation.
The University of Worcester has announced merit-based scholarships for Indian students. Under the scheme, the PG students will receive £3,000 every year of the course.
