IIIT Delhi launches a new PG Diploma in Interaction Design and UX

The Indraprashta Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi has announced a new postgraduate diploma course. IIIT Delhi and TimesPro have partnered to launch this 12-month-long diploma programme. It shall be delivered through an online direct-to-device mode. There are a total of six modules, including 300 learning hours, hands-on learning, and campus immersion. From fundamental design principles to emerging technologies, the curriculum covers it all. IIM Bangalore announces admission for B.Sc (Hons) in Data Science and Economics

The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has announced the opening of admission for its new full-time residential B.Sc (Hons) Programme in Data Science and Economics. This UG programme is an excellent choice for students who are planning to pursue data science and economics in their bachelor’s.

The registration has now opened and shall close on November 20, 2025, for the academic year 2026-27. To be eligible for the programme, you must be 20 years or younger and have completed 10+2 with mathematics and scored 60% marks in mathematics in class 10th. Moreover, you must score qualifying marks in the IIMB UG Admission Test, followed by a personal interview.

XAT 2026 Mock Test window to be announced!

The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2026 mock test window is all set to open on October 29, 2025, at 12 pm and shall close on November 1, 2025. This is a great step for aspiring management students planning to appear for XAT 2026. It would allow you to get hold of the examination format, practise with time-bound tests, and boost your confidence.

However, to be able to use the mock tests, you must complete and submit your XAT 2026 application form. Once you are registered, you can log in using your credentials on the official website at www.xatonline.in. Locate the ‘Mock Test’ section on your dashboard and start practising. The test includes four sections: Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning, Decision-Making, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation, and General Knowledge.

CSIR UGC NET December 2025 application closes!

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally closed its online registration for the Joint Council for Scientific & Industrial Research – University Grants Commission (UGC) – National Eligibility Test December 2025 test. The CSIR UGC NET determines your qualification and eligibility for a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), appointment as Assistant Professor, and admission to a PhD programme.

ICSI CS December 2025 registration reopens

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India has reopened its registration portal for the CS December 2025 examination. If you are eligible for the programme, you can enroll for the examination. However, you must pay a late registration fee. Moreover, if you have already registered and wish to change the exam centre, medium, module, or elective subject, you can do so from October 26 to November 21. To register or make any changes, you can visit the official ICSI website at icsi.edu. The ICSI CS December 2025 examination for Groups 1 and 2 is to be held between December 22 to December 29, 2025.

BPSC 2025-26 important dates released!

The Bihar Public Service Commission has released the BPSC 2025 examination calendar. If you are planning to appear for the BPSC examination 2025, then you can download the schedule from the official BPSC website. Most of the major BPSC examinations and result declarations are scheduled for 2026. Some of these positions include the District Statistical Officer/Assistant Director examination and recruitment for Secondary and Higher Secondary Teachers. Some other crucial tests are scheduled for 2026. According to BPSC, this schedule is provisional and subject to change in case of requirement.

IIT Delhi and the University of Queensland announce a joint PhD programme

In a recent development, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and the University of Queensland have announced a joint Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programme for their 2026 intake. In this joint initiative, the colleges have also announced a fully funded scholarship. During the course of your PhD, you would have the chance to study across both countries and earn a joint PhD degree.

The registration process is all set to begin from October 20, 2025, and close on January 6, 2026. Once you are selected, you would receive a monthly stipend of INR 37,000 in the first year and INR 42,000 in the third and fourth years. During your second year of research stay at the University of Queensland, you would be paid an annual stipend of INR 20,75,772 (2025 rate).

India’s top institutions now have 60% faculty with a PhD

In a recent development, a KPMG 2025 study based on NIRF data from the last ten years stated that nearly 60% of the faculty members in the overall category of Higher Education Institutions (HEI) are PhD holders. This percentage is even higher in management and engineering colleges, over 90% and 80% respectively.

Moreover, the HEIs have shown outcome-led improvements. This reflects a promising number of 73% of PhD faculty members across most categories. The shift can be attributed to better infrastructure, a stronger academic ecosystem, and better research supervision. Furthermore, the report showcases another benefit led by research gains—improvement in international rankings.

UNESCO opens up internship positions for graduates

The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) has opened its 2025 internship programme. This programme is open for all graduates and recent postgraduates. The application for the UNESCO internship has opened and shall close on December 31, 2025. To be eligible for the internship, you must be at least 20 years old and currently enrolled in a graduate, postgraduate, PhD, or equivalent degree.

This is a great opportunity for you to gain practical experience and enhance your academic and professional understanding of global policy and development. During the internship, you would be provided hands-on assignments across various departments, helping you build crucial skills. Typically, the internship lasts one to six months.
