The Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad, has developed an Internet of Things (IoT) chipset. This chipset provides low-power consumption, faster processing, and improved data security. Moreover, it is going to transform multiple industries such as healthcare, logistics, and national security. The chip would allow you to have real-time monitoring in healthcare, strengthen the surveillance and communication system, and enhance the supply chain efficiency.
The team of researchers at IIT Hyderabad highlighted the chip’s benefits. They stated that this IoT chip meets global standards, promoting self-reliance and innovation goals in the country. Furthermore, it brings an opportunity for industry collaborations and large-scale adoptions. This IoT chipset is being called a major step for growth and innovation in the nation.
The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Vietnam National University. This MOU fosters academic and research collaboration across different fields. The agreement facilitates academic exchange, scientific development, and research. This step shall benefit students, researchers, and faculty members in the respective fields.
Some of the key concepts are artificial intelligence in medical diagnosis and hospital implementation, AI-driven education, advanced AI methods to detect infrastructure defects, smart city development, and so much more. Moreover, it explored the cutting-edge facilities such as the helicopter and VTOL lab, the startup & incubation centre, and the smart grid control centre.
In a recent update, the Delhi Government has launched new educational programmes. These education programmes are for the students of government schools across Delhi. The government launched these programmes at Namo Vidya Utsav. The Hon’ble Chief Minister of New Delhi, Ms Rekha Gupta, announced the programmes: New Era of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem and Vision (NEEV), Rashtraneeti, and Science of Living.
The idea behind the NEEV programme is to promote job creators rather than job seekers. Whereas the Rashtraneeti programme focuses on creating responsible and civilised citizens. Additionally, the chief minister stated the importance of these courses for young students and how teachers can create a supportive environment for them.
The Maharashtra Government is planning to prepare certificate courses. These courses shall help develop skilled manpower in the gems and jewellery sector. The courses will be launched at the Skills University. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra made this announcement during the inauguration of the Gems and Jewellery Exhibition.
The Maharashtra State Skills University (MSSU) will offer the courses. This initiative strives to make a global leader in this particular field. Moreover, the chief minister also announced the development of a state-of-the-art Gems and Jewellery Park. The park shall provide facilities to professionals and exporters, leading to a boost in exports.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2025 round 2 seat allotment results. The results were announced on September 17. If you registered for this round, then you can check it on the official website at mcc.nic.in. You can download the allotment letter from the website and proceed with reporting as mentioned in the schedule.
Please note that after the release of the results, MCC withdrew the results due to a data error on September 18. However, after consideration, MCC released a statement on September 19 stating that the results shall remain unchanged as declared earlier. Make sure that you report to the allotted institute within the scheduled timeline.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Kozhikode has officially closed the registration window for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2025. The registration window closed on September 20, 2025. The candidates were allowed to select five preferred test centre cities while filling out the form. The application form was available on the official website.
The CAT 2025 is scheduled for November 30, 2025, across India. The admit cards for the exam shall be released on November 5, which you can download from the official IIM Kozhikode website. You must ensure an error-free application for a hassle-free examination process. Don’t forget to carry your admit card on the day of the examination.
The Central Secondary Board of Education has released instructions for schools regarding the board examinations 2025-26. The instructions given include the submission of the list of candidates for the class 10th and 12th examinations. This comes after CBSE announced its new two-board examination policy.
The board has asked the schools to avoid any kind of errors during the submissions. While filling the list of candidates, schools must verify the following details: the correct spelling of the student’s name, the mother’s, father’s, or the guardian’s name. Moreover, ensure that the date of birth is filled accurately. The correction window is open till October 27, 2025, and no further changes will be allowed.
The BITS School of Management (BITSoM) has inaugurated its research in the AI and innovation lab in Mumbai. It is called the BRAIN Lab. The focus is to create leaders and managers who shall be able to take AI-driven decisions and actions in their workplaces. It would work on four frameworks: teaching, research, grants, and outreach. The goal is to help businesses keep up with the technological upgrades happening globally.
The BRAIN lab shall mainly focus on manufacturing, financial services, retail & healthcare, and global capability centres. This lab shall engage directly with these sectors through industry projects. It shall help in developing a repository of cases, which will later be made freely available for researchers, students, and businesses.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has launched a few initiatives with the aim of improving the employability of 20 lakh engineering students. These initiatives target the academic and industry requirement gaps. Some of the major steps are project PRACTICE, ARI Portal, establishment of R&D Cells, and free access to AI tools.
The Project PRACTICE promotes project-based learning, live industry projects, hands-on learning, and practical thinking. ARI Portal is a platform that connects students with research internship opportunities. The R&D Cell focuses on cutting-edge research, innovation, and collaborations. And, finally, free access to AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT and Perplixity Go, enabling students to automate tasks and enhance focus on crucial tasks.
