IGNOU and the Odisha Government team up to provide higher education in the Odia language

In a recent development, the Odisha Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), New Delhi, to make higher education more accessible and inclusive. As per the MOU, IGNOU will now offer a variety of its courses in the vernacular language, i.e. Odia. The courses include academic and vocational. Learners can now pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate, and other professional courses without the language barrier. Moreover, this agreement leads to more skill-oriented programmes, vocational courses, and travel and tourism management, reaching the most rural parts of the state.

This update was shared during a press release held in Bhubaneshwar. This landmark step is an initiative to increase literacy rate, foster creativity, and reduce dropout rate, ultimately leading to improved employability of the learners. Furthermore, it would lead to an improved enrollment ratio in higher education in Odisha.

MAHE organises an in-person event for online courses

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) recently organised Panorama 2025. This is an in-person immersion event for online learners. More than 200 learners registered in various courses like MBA, MCA, MSc in Data Science, MSc in Business Analytics, and more, joined the event. During the event, the MAHE Online Alumni Portal was launched for the first time.

Moreover, Panorama 2025 highlighted the importance of AI in education through a featured panel discussion. Dignitaries like Rohini Srivathsa (CTO, Microsoft India and South Asia), Ambrish Sinha (CEO of UNext Learning Pvt. Ltd), and Manjokumar Nagasampige (Director of Online Education, MAHE), participated in the event. They shared their views on how online education is creating limitless opportunities and reimagining leadership.

NEET result 2025 Out!!

The National Testing Agency has announced the NEET UG 2025 results. You can check your results on the official NTA website. You can check your results on either neet.nta.nic.in or nta.ac.in. The final answer key and the results are to be declared on the same day. This year, the NEET UG was conducted on 4th May, where around 22 lakh medical aspirants sat for the exam. The exam was held in 557 cities across India.

The marking scheme for NEET UG includes 4 marks for a correct answer and -1 for an incorrect answer, while there is no negative marking for unanswered questions. According to the experts from the field, the 2025 NEET UG paper was time-consuming, and the difficulty level was high.

UPSC Prelims Result OUT: Check your results now

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2025 results have been declared. The result was declared on 11th June 2025. The result includes a list of roll numbers that have cleared the first stage of the UPSC CSE exam. You can download the PDF from the official UPSC website https://upsc.gov.in/. The prelims determine who qualifies for the UPSC Mains exam 2025. Qualified candidates are required to upload documents and some key details. The window to submit all the essential details on the UPSC website is from 16th June to 25th June.

The UPSC CSE Prelim 2025 was conducted on 25th May 2025 for around 10 lakh students from across the country. This year, there are 979 vacancies for students appearing for the exam. The examination was conducted in two shifts, including two papers: general studies paper 1 and general studies paper 2.

NADP reinvents itself with new defence courses and achieves 100% placement in its PGDM course

Formerly known for training Indian Ordinance Factory Service (IOFS) officers, the National Academy of Defence Production (NADP) has launched India’s first-ever defence-sector management course. The Academy has partnered with the Eudoxia Research University (USA) and Eudoxia Research Centre (India) to introduce this one-year international innovation and training programme. This programme fosters global research and development capabilities.

On the other hand, the institute also announced 100% placement for its defence PGDM course. This PGDM course is India’s first defence sector-focused management course, which is also mentored by IIM Indore. The graduates were placed by major defence and consulting companies such as L&T Defence, Tata Advanced Systems, the Jindal Group, and KPMG.

BHU has developed new 63 SWAYAM courses, registration opens soon

In the recent development, the Banaras Hindu University has developed 63 new SWAYAM programmes for the 2025 sessions. These courses include subjects like commerce, management, arts, humanities, social sciences, psychology, law, and more. These online courses are a combination of traditional and modern age concepts. Typically, SWAYAM courses are for 4 weeks, 8 weeks, or 12 weeks long.

Previously, BHU developed 37 programmes in the last two sessions. Keeping in mind the university’s contribution towards digital education, it has also been appointed as a National Coordinator (NC) for Institutions of National Importance on the SWAYAM platform. Now, BHU provides administrative and strategic support for the development of SWAYAM MOOCs.

Vikalp India creates ‘STEAM Lab At Home’: First of its own kind

Vikalp India provides experiential learning to the learners. In a recent development, Vikalp India has introduced its ‘STEAM Lab at Home’ initiative. This step allows students a dedicated environment for experimentation, learning from doing, and developing resilience in the process. This programme focuses on making science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics education more engaging, fun, and interactive for learners.

Students enrolled on the programme shall receive a Do-it-Yourself (DIY) kit. This kit would allow you to build models, conduct experiments, and create your own learning environment. The kit includes charts, maps, props, graphs, and basic tools. With the STEAM Lab model, Vikalp India aims to make education inclusive, accessible for both urban and rural settings.

Mumbai State Government Ties Up with Leading Global Universities to Launch ‘Mumbai Rising’ Initiative

The Mumbai State Government is set to launch its ‘Mumbai Rising – Creating an International Education City’ initiative in collaboration with five leading global universities. The five universities include the University of Aberdeen, the University of York, the University of Western Australia, the Illinois Institute of Technology, and the Instituto Europeo di Design (IED). Under this initiative, these five universities are being invited to build their campuses around Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.

The aim is to develop an international education city near the Navi Mumbai International Airport. This would be one of its kind education hubs that would offer high-quality international education within India. The chief guest of this event would be Mr. Dharmendra Pradhan, the Union Education Minister of India.
