The ULLAS scheme aims to ensure financial awareness, digital transactions, and various other practical skills.

According to the UNESCO mandate, a state that achieves a literacy rate of 95 per cent shall be considered fully literate. CBSE approves biannual Class 10 board exams starting in 2026, the best score to be retained

Under this policy, CBSE shall conduct class 10th board exams twice a year from 2026. The goal is to provide students with more flexibility and remove the pressure of a single board exam. This policy aligns with the NEP 2020 to make education more student-centric.

According to the policy, the first phase of the exams is mandatory, making the second phase optional. While the first phase shall work as a baseline assessment, the second phase focuses on overall performance improvement. As per the reports, the first phase results shall be declared in April, followed by the second phase results in June. Moreover, the CBSE has planned to conduct internal assessments only once during the year. This policy shift is a step towards creating a less stressful environment for students.
