Maharashtra Makes Hindi Mandatory Third Language in Schools

The Maharashtra government has made the Hindi language mandatory as the third language for classes 1 to 5 in all Marathi and English medium schools across the state. The School Education and Sports Department has issued this resolution to align with the state’s updated education curriculum under the National Educational Policy 2020.

However, GR has also clarified that Marathi shall remain the primary language, followed by English and Hindi as secondary languages, depending on the medium of instruction in the school. If you wish to learn an additional language beyond these three, there must be 20 willing students for the school to start a separate language class.

Five Foreign Universities Have Announced a Campus in India

The University Grants Commission (UGC) has formally granted a Letter of Intent to leading foreign universities from the UK, USA, Australia, and Italy. The universities that received the letter include the University of York, the University of Western Australia, the University of Aberdeen, the Illinois Institute of Technology, and the Instituto Europeo di Design. Moreover, the University of Western Australia got the permission to establish its second campus in Chennai.

The letter of intent (LoI) allows the universities to build their campuses in the Mumbai and Navi Mumbai regions. The ceremony of handing over took place in Mumbai, and it was presided over by the Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the acting chairperson of the UGC, Vineet Joshi, and the vice-chancellors of the participating universities.

QS World University Ranking 2026 Released; IIT-Delhi, IIT-Bombay Ranked in Top 130

The QS World University Rankings 2026 are out. In this latest edition, approximately 50 per cent of Indian universities have a better ranking in comparison to last year. Among the rankings, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) remained the best global institute in the world for the 14th time.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi has gained the topmost ranking in India. While IIT Bombay received the second position in the QS World University Rankings among Indian institutions. In the 2026 edition, IIT Bombay ranked 129th in the global rankings. These colleges are followed by IIT Madras, IIT Kharagpur, and IISC Bangalore.

RSOS 10th & 12th 2025 Results Out!

The Rajasthan State Open School (RSOS) has declared the results of class 10 and class 12. The results were announced on June 19th, 2025. You can check the results now on the official website – rajasthanstateopenschool.com. You can check your mark sheet online and later collect the physical copy from the respective study centre.

The RSOS examinations were scheduled during the March–May 2025 session. These exams are crucial for those students who are unable to attend regular schooling due to various personal or professional reasons. RSOS provides a flexible learning option to interested students who wish to complete their 10th and 12th education.

Karnataka PGCET Admit Card Download Link Activated

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) released the PGCET admit card 2025 on June 16. You can download the admit card for MBA/MCA PGCET – 2025 from the official website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. To download the hall ticket, you must enter the login ID or the registered mobile number, followed by your unique password. After that, you have the option to log in using either OTP or facial recognition. You can choose any as per your convenience.

PGCET is a state-level admission test that would help you get admission into postgraduate courses such as MBA, MCA, ME, MTech, and more across different colleges in Karnataka. This exam is expected to take place on June 22, 2025. The exam shall take place in a computer-based format. You can find the mock test link for PGCET 2025 in computer-based format on the official website.
