There has been a drastic increase in the number of Class 9 and 11 students opting for the AI elective as an optional subject. There is a 2900% jump from 15,645 in 2019-20 to 4,69,454 in 2024-25 students, and a 1556% jump from 2,048 in 2020-21 to 33,933 in 2024-25 students. Moreover, more than 4,500 CBSE-recognised schools are offering artificial intelligence as a skill subject.
This massive shift reflects the changing paradigm and the aim to learn more industry-relevant skills. The content for the AI-related electives is prepared in collaboration with industry experts such as IBM, Intel, and other higher educational institutions. Additionally, this step aligns with the National Education Policy 2020 and teaches the importance of AI to the students.
The Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay has launched two new 12-month professional certificate programmes in Cybersecurity and Software Development. The institute has started accepting applications for the IITB certification in cybersecurity and software development. These are the first-ever IITB Trust Lab professional certificate courses. This 100% online course offers an industry-relevant curriculum, hands-on learning experience, IIT Bombay certification, and expert faculty members.
With these certifications, the institute aims to bridge the gap between academia and industry demands. Whether you are an industry professional, a 3rd or 4th year UG student, a PG student, or a faculty member from the related field, you can apply for the programme. However, to earn a professional certificate, you must complete any three certificates within a track.
The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow has designed a blended MBA (bMBA) for working professionals and entrepreneurs. The programme offers advanced management knowledge, leadership capabilities, and strategic thinking. It is a two-year programme, including live online classes and immersive on-campus modules at the campus. IIML fosters a rigorous and adaptable learning ecosystem with practical and industry relevance.
To be eligible for the programme, you must have a minimum of three years of full-time work experience after graduation and a bachelor’s degree or professional qualification of CA/CS/ICWA. Moreover, you must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in the UG and valid scores in the last five years in CAT/GRE/GMAT/GMAT(focus). Please note that the entrance tests must be taken at the centre only.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the CSIR UGC-NET June 2025 admit card. You can download the admit cards from the official website csirnet.nta.ac.in. The examination is scheduled for July 28, 2025. It shall be conducted in two shifts in computer-based mode. The first shift is between 9 am to 12 pm, and the second shift will be conducted between 3 pm to 6 pm.
To download the admit card, you must enter your application number and date of birth. For future reference, don’t forget to save and download the admit card. The CSIR UGC-NET examination is conducted to appoint candidates for the assistant professor, assistant professor and admission to PhD, and admission to PhD only.
Ausbildung Programme for Auszubildende in Deutschland or APAL Project 2025 is an initiative led by Germany’s Federal Employment Agency (BA). Under the project, selected students get a chance to undergo vocational training, combining real-world industrial experience and academic knowledge. Fourteen students from Delhi Government schools have joined the APAL Project. Here, they would get a chance to spend three to three-and-a-half years in Germany.
During the programme, the students shall get hands-on training and classes in various technical fields. This collaboration between Delhi and the German Government not only promotes intercultural exchange but also bridges the gap between academia and practical training among the youngsters.
