Ministry of Education reconstitutes the JEE Apex Board

In a recent news, the Department of Higher Education issued a notification reconstituting the JEE Apex Board (JAB). This board is responsible for overlooking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for the year 2026 and 2027. The board would also ensure smooth conduct of JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced), leading to admission in IITs, NITs, and other engineering institutes.

JAB shall have the final authority while making policies, rules, regulations for JEE (Main). Moreover, it would also be coordinating JEE (Advanced) in coordination with the National Testing Agency (NTA). The current chairperson of the JAB is Professor S.K. Jain followed by 17 members and 1 member secretary on the board.

IIT Hyderabad and TCS iON launches a VLSI Chip Design Certificate Programme

The Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad has collaborated with TCS iON to launch a new online programme. This online course focuses on the large scale VLSI Chip design. It is a two-month-long programme designed for freshers, professionals, and enthusiasts. The registration has started for the programme and shall end on September 30.

The total fee for the IIT Hyderabad VLSI chip design certificate programme is INR 14,160. Additionally, you can choose an additional one-week bootcamp which would cost INR 9,440. The programme starts on 8 October, 2025 and completes on 29 November 2025. The learning methodology would include live sessions, recorded lessons, case studies, and doubt-clearing sessions.

Jamia Milia Islamia announces new UG and Advanced Diploma courses

Jamia Milia Islamia (JMI), New Delhi has launched new bachelor’s courses in the German language and French language. Additionally, the institute has announced an Advanced Diploma course in Child Guidance and Counselling for the academic year 2025-26. You can apply for the courses on the official website at JMI admission portal. The registration starts from 6 September 2025. The admission test shall be conducted on 14 September 2025.

The newly launched language courses are BA in German and Japanese. The course curriculum focuses on the holistic knowledge of the cultures. From the language to the culture, you would cover it all. Whereas, the Diploma programme would open doors for job roles in schools, NGOs, hospitals, healthcare facilities, and more.

NEET PG 2025 AQI merit list released!

The National Board of Examination in Medical Sciences has released the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test PG 2025 merit list for 50% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. If you are looking to enroll in an MD, MS, Post Graduate Diploma, and other courses for the 2025-26 academic session, you can now check the results on the official website at natboard.edu.in. The merit list includes your roll number, application ID, scores, ranks, and other information.

To download the merit list, you must visit the official NBEMS website. Next, locate the examination section and select NEET PG. Click on the NEET PG 2025 AQI Merit List. The merit list would open on the screen. You can use your roll number and application ID to locate your scores. Finally, you can download and save the PDF for future reference.

ICSI CS June 2025 results out!

The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced the CS June 2025 results for the professional course. The results for the executive programme syllabus 2022 were announced at 2 pm and the results for the professional programme syllabus 2017 and 2022 were announced at 11 am on the 25 September 2025. The June 2025 examination was held from June 1 to June 10, 2025.

You can check the results online on the official ICSI portal at icsi.edu.in. To check your results, you would need your roll number and the registration number/PIN. Once you submit the details, you would receive your subject-wise marks and overall result. Moreover, you can download your scorecard for future reference.

KSET 2025 registrations open!

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially initiated the registration process for the Karnataka State Eligibility Test (KSET) 2025. The exam is scheduled for 2 November, 2025. You can register for the examination on the official KEA website at kcetonline.karnataka.gov.in. The registration has opened and shall remain open till 10 September 2025.

The application fee for KSET for the general candidates is INR 1000 and INR 700 for the reserved category candidates. You can check for your admit cards on 24 October. The test shall be conducted for 33 subjects. To be eligible for the test, you must have secured a minimum of 55 per cent in your master’s or equivalent.

ICAI CA Foundation exam 2025 admit card released

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has released the Chartered Accountancy (CA) foundation examination admit cards. The admit cards released are for the September 2025 CA foundation examination. You can download the hall ticket from the official portal at eservices.icai.org. The CA foundation examination is to be held on 16, 18, 20, and 22 September 2025.

To download your ICAI CA foundation admit card, you must open the official ICAI website. Next, locate the e-services portal and click on the admit card. You must log in using your registered student services portal ID and password. Your admit card shall appear in front of you. Make sure to download the admit card.

School enrollment drops for the third year in a row

According to a recent report released by the Education Ministry, the enrollment in schools has dropped by 11 lakh. The Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE+) report states that the school enrollment in the year 2024-25 stands at 24.69 crore, whereas in 2023-24 it was 24.80 crore. As per the Government, the reason for the decline is the shift in the country’s demographic.

The enrollment figure in 2022-23 was 25.18 crore. This decline has been constant since 2021-22. Furthermore, the report highlighted that there has been fewer enrollments in classes 1 to 5. From 10.78 crore, the numbers have gone down to 10.44 crore. For the first time in India, the decline in the overall fertility rate has impacted the school enrollment figures.
