CBSE releases class 10th supplementary results

The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the results of the class 10th supplementary exams. The result was announced on August 5. A total of 1,38,898 appeared for the exams, out of which only 67,720 students passed. The pass percentage for the exams is 48.68 per cent. To check these results, you can visit the CBSE official website at cbse.gov.in. You would need your registration number and date of birth to download the grade card.

Girls outperformed the boys in the supplementary exam, which made their pass percentage 51.04 per cent. The pass percentage for boys remained at 47.41 per cent. The supplementary exams were conducted from July 15 to 22 across 15494 schools. You can also access your marksheet and passing certificate through DigiLocker.

The Tamil Nadu Government launched its new State Education Policy

In a recent development, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, Mr. M.K. Stalin, has released the first phase of a new State Education Policy. The SEP reflects a unique character and has two components, and the part focusing on school education has been released. This policy promotes rational thinking, equality, and a seamless transition from school to higher education. Moreover, the Chief Minister also emphasised adherence to the existing two-language policy.

A committee headed by Justice D Murugesan was formed by the State Government to work on the State Education Policy. The committee submitted its report on July 1. The panel’s report focused on the importance of physical education and digital infrastructure across all schools in the state. Furthermore, the committee also suggested open-book exams for Class XI students.

Registration for the IIM Lucknow blended MBA programme ends on August 18! Apply before you miss the deadline

The Indian Institute of Management Lucknow recently launched a blended MBA programme. The registration for this hybrid course shall close on August 18, 2025. You can apply for the programme on the official IIM Lucknow website at iiml.ac.in. This programme is especially curated for the working professionals and entrepreneurs. It provides a combined experience of online and on-campus learning.

This programme offers a perfect balance, without the need to compromise any responsibilities. However, to be eligible for the said programme, you must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience after graduation, a UG degree with a minimum of 15% aggregate marks. And, you also need a valid CAT/GMAT/GRE score.

Delhi University received an A++ grade from NAAC, to be valid until 2029

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded grade A++ to the University of Delhi (DU). DU bagged the grade in the NAAC Cycle 2 Institutional Assessment Accreditation. Announced on August 8, marks a historic leap for DU. This A++ grade shall remain valid for the next five years, till 2029.

IIT Madras build a new School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has launched a new School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship to create an ecosystem that supports building deep-tech startups. Prof. Anbarasu Manivannan shall head the school. The institute aims to promote entrepreneurial activities and boost the startup culture through its campus.

The School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship was launched on August 4, 2025, in the presence of dignitaries, professors, alumni, and industry partners. IIT Madras is already home to 475 deep-tech startups valued at around INR 50,000 crore. With the emergence of the new school, IIT Madras aims to boost the agenda of ‘Make in India, Make for the World.’

IIM Udaipur announces a new Executive Programme in Product Management and Senior Management

The Indian Institute of Management Udaipur has launched a new Executive Programme in Product Management (EPPM) and a Senior Management Programme (SMP). Both courses shall be delivered through campus modules and online classes. The institute has joined hands with TeamLease EdTech to provide online sessions, technical and learner support during the continuation of the course.

The Executive Programme in Product Management is a 9-month-long programme. It shall cover the complete product cycle, including design, customer discovery, strategic alignments, execution, and growth. The curriculum shall also include a capstone project that focuses on a full product launch.

IIM Raipur and Emeritus announce a new online General Management Programme for Working Professionals

The Indian Institute of Management Raipur has partnered with Emeritus to launch an online 12-month General Management Programme for professionals. This is an Advanced Certificate Programme in General Management. This 12-month programme starts on September 30, 2025. It is specially designed for early-to-mid-career professionals and entrepreneurs from across the industries looking to grow their managerial and leadership capabilities.

The course curriculum shall cover artificial intelligence, gen AI, analytics, strategy, operations, marketing, and more. The classes shall be delivered through live and recorded online sessions taught by IIM Raipur faculty members. To be eligible for the course, you must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. The total academic fee for the Advanced Certificate Programme in General Management by IIM Raipur is INR 1,45,000 (excluding GST).

IIT Guwahati partners with Get Set Learn to launch an AI education programme for K12

The Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati is all set to collaborate with an edTech startup, Get Set Learn, to design an Artificial Intelligence Quotient (AIQ). An AIQ is an elaborate education programme for K12. The institute has launched the programme under its initiative ‘Project Vidhya’. This initiative is a step towards equipping youth with industry-specific skills and knowledge in the digital and AI field.

This is one of India’s first structured programmes for middle school students. It shall enable you with creative thinking, problem-solving, and ethical awareness. Moreover, it would introduce you to the latest emerging technologies. Get ready to experience hands-on learning with Artificial Intelligence Quotient.

AILET 2026 registration opens!

The National Law University Delhi has started the registration for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) 2026. The registration window opened on August 7, 2025 and shall close on November 10, 2025. You can access the application form for AILET 2026 on the official website of NLU Delhi. AILET 2026 is scheduled to be held on December 14, 2025. The exam opens up admission to the BA LLB (hons.) and LLM programmes at the NLU Delhi.

To be eligible for the UG Programme, you must have a minimum of 45% marks in the Class 12th board marks, under the general category. For the OBC category, you need 42% and for SC and ST, you need a minimum of 40% marks. However, to be eligible for the one-year LLM programme under the general category, you must have a score of 50%. In cases of SC, ST, and PwD, the minimum pass percentage is 45%.

India wins big at the International Linguistics Olympiad in Taipei

The four-member Indian team won a gold medal and a bronze medal at the 22nd International Linguistics Olympiad, 2025. The team also bagged two individual and one team-level honourable mention in the event. The Olympiad was held in Taipei, Taiwan, from July 20 to 27, 2025. It is the first time in the history of India started participating in olympiads that an Indian team received a team-level honourable mention.

The Indian team contingent consisted of Vaageesan Surendran, Advay Misra, Nandgovind Anurag, and Siripurapu Bhuvan. Vageesan, a native of Chennai, won gold, while Advay from New Delhi won a bronze medal. Nandagovind Anurag, a resident of Bengaluru and Siripurapu, a resident of Hyderabad, won honourable mentions.
