2. Specialist Officer 

The Specialist Officers (SO) are employed in public banks, where their role is to oversee the technology aspect of banking operations. They are tasked with enhancing the bank’s visibility through strategic marketing campaigns and promotions. Therefore, a candidate with an MBA degree is especially preferred for the post of Specialist Officer.

IBPS SO INR 8.5 lakh

3. Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Grade B Officer

The RBI conducts exams for grade B officers required in various departments, such as the Monetary Policy Department, Banking Regulations Department, and Economic Policy Research Department.  For this position, the recruitment exam is conducted in 3 stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Interview. As an MBA graduate is well-equipped with management skills and has a good understanding of finance, this is the best government job for MBA graduates.

4. Probationary Officer

A Probationary Officer(PO) is a managerial-level job, a popularly chosen career path by lakhs of aspirants. This position is offered by various public sector banks and a separate exam is conducted for this. For this post, the probation period is two years during which the candidates have to undergo rigorous training. Their role involves public relations work, handling customer complaints and addressing all customer-related concerns. An MBA graduate would be a perfect fit for this role if you are able to clear the bank PO competitive exam.

5. Indian Railways Management Service (IRMS) 

Indian Railways is the most significant transport network in the country.

Thus, the number of vacancies is also good in IRMS. They play a crucial role in managing the railway operations. The aspiring candidate must be a graduate, preferably an MBA degree holder. Every candidate has to meet the fitness criteria as UPSC has mentioned. Its three-stage recruitment includes preliminary examination, mains, and interviews.

6. Quality Assurance Manager 

A quality assurance manager is required at the Indian Railways to ensure the standards of all railway operations are met. They conduct audits and inspections, identify and fix the defects, and track the maintenance work. A graduate with 60% marks or an MBA in Quality Management or a related field with a minimum of 55% marks is preferred for this role.

7. Indian Economic Service (IES)

The IES exam is conducted by UPSC and is recruited under the Ministry of Finance. An IES officer is a part of the team that formulates economic policy and strategises its implementation. A candidate should have an excellent academic record and must have a degree in economics or a major in finance. The written exam consists of four papers: Economics paper- I, Economics paper- II and Indian Economy and finally, there is an interview round.

8. SSC CGL 

SSC CGL stands for Staff Selection Commission Combined Graduate Level Examination. This exam is conducted for various positions in ministries and central government departments. The Central Bureau of Investigation, Income Tax Department, and Central Vigilance Commission recruit officers, among others. The selection is a four-stage process that includes a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT). After qualifying SSC CGL exam, you can be recruited for the following posts:

9. Central Excise and Customs Inspector (C&CE) 

The C&CE Inspector is in charge of collecting indirect taxes and enforcing customs regulations. The recruitment is done in three stages: Tier I, Tier II and Interview. An MBA graduate is suitable for this post since he/she has good knowledge of finance, taxation, import-export and business law. They are recruited in Group B of the CBIC department and receive the first promotion to the gazetted superintendent post after eight years of service.

10. Security and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) Grade A Officer 

SEBI is one of the prestigious financial bodies in India. The Grade A officer exam is conducted for recruitment in various departments, including Market Development Department, Investment Management Department and Legal Department. Marketing, investment, and legal aspects of business are covered in the MBA curriculum.
