DU UG Course-Wise Admission Criteria 2024

DU offers various courses. The list of major courses and admission criteria is stated in the table below.

BA Courses You must take the entrance exam in one language from section one and three subjects from section two.
BSc Courses The merit will be determined based on CUET results in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Biology.
Linguistic Courses You can take the test in any language or choose a specific language.
BCom, BVoc, BA You are given the option to choose between a language exam, one domain-specific subject, a general examination, or a three-pass subject exam.
BBA, BBE, BMS You will have to pass one language test, one maths test, and one general test.
BA Economics Hons You are required to take the mathematics exam. Merit will be determined by the results of one language test, one mathematics test, and two domain tests.

DU UG Admission Through CUET 2024

There are 5 steps to be followed in securing admission to DU colleges.

  1. CUET Exam: This is the first step in the admission process. So register yourself for the CUET 2024 exam and appear for the exam as per the subjects studied in Class 12th.

  2. DU CSAS Form: You need to fill out the DU CSAS application form.

  3. Preference Filling: You need to fill in the colleges and programmes according to your preference.

  4. Release of Merit List: The CUET DU merit list will be released. You can change your status from three and seat allocations and the admission process will proceed.

  5. Upgradation: This is the last step. In case you want to freeze or upgrade your seat.

DU CSAS Portal Registration

There will be a one-time, non-refundable registration fee for the DU CSAS for 2024. The fee structure varies based on the category to which the applicant belongs. The registration fee for those who fall into the categories of UR, OBC-NCL, or EWS is Rs. 250. However, to register on the DU CSAS portal, candidates who fall under the SC/ST/PwBD categories must pay a fee of Rs. 100. Before completing the registration procedure, applicants should make sure they match the qualifying requirements, as this cost is a one-time charge that is not refundable.

Spot Admission to DU UG Admission through CUET

If there are any open seats following the regular CSAS rounds, the authorities will announce the spot admission. The only applicants who can take part in spot admission are those who submitted for DU CSAS UG 2023 but were rejected from every programme and college. When the spot admission is announced, the candidate’s dashboard will remain in “freeze” mode. The candidate must select the “spot admission” tab in order to be taken into consideration.
