What's After the CMAT Entrance Exam Date 2027?

If you think appearing and clearing CMAT means you automatically get a college, well, that’s not exactly 100 per cent correct. CMAT scores are accepted by many institutes, but there is no single admission process that covers all of them.

Once your result is out, you need to apply separately to the colleges you are interested in, usually through their individual admission portals. Your CMAT scorecard will then be considered as part of their selection process.

Most institutes have their own CMAT percentile cutoffs and selection criteria. Shortlisted candidates may then be called for a Group Discussion, Written Ability Test or Personal Interview, depending on the institute.

For private and deemed universities, however, you will have to keep track of each college separately. GD-PI-WAT dates, application deadlines and final admission announcements are decided by individual institutes and can continue until May or June 2027.

It is a good idea to keep a simple list or spreadsheet of the colleges you have applied to, their cutoffs and their GD-PI dates. Once the results are out, this will save you from a lot of last-minute confusion.
