What is NEET UG?

NEET UG (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate) is a national-level medical entrance exam. It serves as a gateway for admission to various undergraduate medical courses like: MBBS, BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS. If you are an aspiring medical student then you must excel in NEET UG to secure a seat in top medical colleges across the country.

The Purpose of NEET UG

NEET UG Exam is conducted usually in May, once a year. It provides a standardised platform for evaluating the aptitude and knowledge of candidates aspiring to pursue medical education. It ensures a fair selection process for admission to undergraduate medical programmes.

NEET UG 2024 – REGISTRATION PROCESS

To Register for NEET (UG) – 2024:

  • Visit the official website https://neet.nta.nic.in/
  • Read the Information Bulletin and Replica of Application Form for eligibility verification
  • Register by providing the necessary details and creating a password
  • Use the system-generated Application Number for future login
  • Complete your application form by entering personal details, choosing exam preferences, and uploading required documents
  • Upload scanned images following the specified guidelines (photographs, signature, fingerprints, certificates)
  • Ensure all uploaded documents are in the prescribed format and size
  • Review the application before submission
  • Submit the form, and keep the Application Number and Password for future reference

Remember, only one application per candidate is allowed, and adherence to instructions is crucial to avoid disqualification. Communication will be sent to the provided email and mobile number.

Candidates can choose to pay the registration fee via debit/credit card, net banking, or UPI.

NEET UG Admit Card

1 Download Admit Card from NTA website (https://neet.nta.nic.in/)
2 Ensure fulfilment of eligibility conditions before downloading
3 Check the Examination Centre, Date, and Timing details on the Admit Card
4 Do not attempt to appear at the Examination Centre on a different Date or Timing than indicated on the Admit Card
5 If unable to download the Admit Card, contact Help Line (10:00 am to 05:00 pm) or email NTA at [email protected]
6 Read and follow instructions on the Information Bulletin and Admit Card carefully before the examination
7 Report any discrepancies in candidate details or Admit Card to the Help Line at [email protected] (10:00 am to 5:00 pm)
8 If discrepancies exist, appear in the examination with the downloaded Admit Card, and NTA will rectify records later
