Proteomics is the study of proteins at larger scales. Proteins are present as the basic building blocks in all organisms and the field of proteomics explores the basics of protein in terms of its structure, function, systems, nature and coherence. Qualitative and quantitative modes of proteomics are used in modern science to explore the unseen nature of proteins, their micro constituents; amino acids and cellular functions, their emergence, and the applicable approach in the future.

The students opting for this course will learn about proteins at the macro level and their properties and constituents at the micro level. The course will give in-depth knowledge about how proteins function, the structures and different levels of organisations and how different samples are prepared to explore the nature of proteins across different biological systems.
