About the Course

The course guides the students through the frontier areas of environmental economics, the interaction between the economy and the environment and various concepts of the welfare implication of national income. It also introduces various theories and notions about the issues of sustainable development and helps students at a personal level examine the impact of economic growth on environmental degradation and the bigger impact it is to bring in the future.

The prerequisite for the programme is that a learner has to be familiar with the principles of economics/microeconomics. Any other candidate who is interested in learning about the:

Functioning of the economic sector and its relevance
Inter-relation with the environment
Issues related to environmental degradation
Policy making can opt for this course
The duration of course is 3 months long divided into 12 lecture series.
There are four categories of certificates- Gold, Silver, Elite or Completed that a student will receive.
The course has been conducted from July to October in a year.
