The BITSAT, or Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test, is an online computer-based examination that assesses your knowledge and skills in various subjects. The test is conducted in the English language and lasts for three hours. You will encounter a total of 130 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) across five sections: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, English Proficiency, and Logical Reasoning. Each correct answer will earn you 3 marks, while incorrect answers will result in a deduction of 1 mark. If you choose not to attempt a question, you will neither gain nor lose any marks. Additionally, if you manage to attempt all 130 questions, you will have the opportunity to answer 12 more questions (3 each from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, and Logical Reasoning) if time permits.
The BITSAT exam pattern is divided into five sections: Physics: 40 questions, Chemistry: 40 questions, Mathematics/Biology: 45 questions, English Proficiency: 15 questions, and Logical Reasoning: 10 questions
The marking scheme for the BITSAT is as follows: +3 marks for each correct answer, -1 mark for each incorrect answer, and 0 marks for unattempted questions
