University of Calicut

Calicut University was founded in Malappuram, Kerala, in 1968. The university is governed by the Calicut University Act of 1975, which was passed by the Kerala Legislative Assembly. Calicut University placed in the rank band 101–150 in the overall category and 70th in the universities category of the NIRF Ranking 2023. It has received recognition from the UG-DEB and has received a fourth A+ accreditation from the NAAC. With 34 departments and 406 affiliated colleges, it is a state university and the biggest residential college-affiliating university in Kerala.

Courses Eligibility

Courses	Eligibility
Distance BA	Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
Distance BCom	Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with at least one commerce subject are eligible for admission. Candidates who have not studied commerce subject for Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination with not less than 45% marks are also eligible.
Distance BBA	Candidates who have passed (Eligible for Higher Studies) the HSE of the Kerala State Board of Higher Secondary Examination or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto are eligible for admission.
Distance MA	Eligibility varies with specialization
Distance MSc	B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics of this University or an equivalent* degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Main (Core) and at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in Part III (Core and Complementary put together).
Distance MCom	Any candidate who has passed B.Com or BBA (earlier BBS) degree of University of Calicut or recognized# B.Com, BBA, BBM or BBS degree of any other University or Institutes in any states, with minimum of 45% aggregate marks or equivalent overall CGPA is eligible for admission to the M.Com programme.
