Sree Narayanaguru Open University (SGOU) was established in September 2020 by the State government of Kerala. It is a State University for Education that focuses on Training and Research in a blended format within Kerala. Recognized as the 15th University in Kerala, it was legitimized by the state legislative Assembly. Named after the prominent social reformer Sreenarayanaguru, the university is committed to providing quality education, research, and training to all, irrespective of formal prerequisites. Its campus, situated near Ashtamudi Backwaters, is equipped with academic blocks, a library, classrooms, and an IT center.
