Jiwaji University Gwalior came into existence on May 23, 1964, through M.P. Govt. Ordinance No. 15 of 1963. Late Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, the then President of India, laid the foundation stone on 11th December 1964 at a sprawling campus of over 225 acres of land at Naulakha Parade ground. This generous contribution was made by the Scindia family, particularly by Kailashwasi Maharaja Shrimant Jiwaji Rao Scindia and late Rajmata Shrimati Vijayaraje Scindia. The institution was named after Kailashwasi Shrimant Jiwajirao Scindia as a lasting memorial to his legacy. The motto of the university, embedded in its logo, is 'Vidyaya Prapyate Tejah'.

Admission Process

The admissions process takes place in online mode. Fresh admission starts from the month of January of every year. There are direct admissions, no entrance exam is conducted for the admission process.The addmission procedure for the online course at School of Distance Education, Jiwaji University, Madhya Pradesh is as follows:

Select the requisite course, fill in the relevant details, and deposit the form.

STEP 3

The candidate is required to online deposit the application fee and course fee along with the application form.

STEP 4

Print out the submitted admission form and deposit the hard copy at the School of Distance Education or study center with any self-attested photocopies.

STEP 5

Students need to visit the website to check their names in the admission list declared after the last date of admission and also check their emails since information concerning admission will also be sent through e-mail.

STEP 6

Within a month of admission, students have to fill out an enrollment form to get enrolled at Jiwaji University, failing which they will not be able to write their assignments and appear in final examinations.
