Acharya Nagarjuna University was established in 1976 and its main campus is situated between Guntur and Vijayawada on Chennai - Kolkata National Highway (N.H.5). It is a state university funded by UGC, simultaneously it is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (A.I.U) and the Associations of the Common Wealth University (A.C.U). Acharya Nagarjuna University has been known for its excellence in spreading the creative essence of Indian culture across the nation. Acharya Nagarjuna University has also established its Centre for Distance Education (ANUCDE), which offers top-notch education to those students, who are unable to get regular degrees and education due to any circumstances.
