SCDL Cyber Security Course Eligibility 2025

SDCL has released the eligibility criteria for admission to the cyber security course. It is mandatory to meet the eligibility conditions for admission. The eligibility criteria for SCDL Post Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security are as follows:

Defence Category

Fee concessions are not available to civilians or personnel working in Defence establishments (Ministry of Defence/D.R.D.O., etc.).

International Category

If you hold passports issued by foreign countries, including people of Indian origin (NRIs) who have acquired the nationality of a foreign country.

SAARC Category

The South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) comprises Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Students holding passports issued by SAARC countries (except India), including people of Indian origin (NRIs) who have acquired the nationality of a SAARC country, will fall under the SAARC category.

Steps to apply for Symbiosis Cyber Security Course

1. Purchase application form

First, you have to visit the official website of SCDL – scdl.net – and purchase an online application form. Visit scdl.net and click on “Sign Up” to register on the SCDL Apply Online Portal. Use the generated login credentials to log in and purchase the application form. Now, fill out the application form online and download the e-prospectus in soft copy for your reference further. The fee to purchase the application form for applicants of the General/Defence category is Rs. 1,200, and for the International/ SAARC category, it is US $100.

2. Upload required documents

The next step is to upload academic records in the prescribed format, work experience certificates (if any), recent colour passport-size photographs, and government photo identity proof.

Note: If you are applying under the Defence Category, you must produce a proof of service certificate/discharge book/dependent certificate (any one document as applicable). For international and SAARC students, an address in a foreign country is mandatory, along with proof of address or copies of passport pages showing visas from the foreign country.

3. Pay admission fee

Finally, pay the full programme fee online through the payment gateway from login or via Demand Draft (in the name of “The Director, SCDL Pune”, payable at Pune only) immediately after your admission process is complete. The total fee for the SCDL cyber security course is Rs. 29,000.
