How many students appear for CAT every year?

Over 2 lakh students appear for the Common Admission Test or CAT, which is one of the most popular MBA entrance exams in India. This year, the entrance exam will be conducted on November 30 and the number of CAT test takers is expected to remain more than 2 lakhs. In 2024, the total number of students who appeared for the CAT exam was 2.93 lakhs, out of which 1.07 lakh were female, 1.86 lakh were male, and 9 were transgender candidates.
